Call for creators

Dear Artistic Creators of all Accents,
At DeepARTment, we look to meet passionate individuals leading their creative endeavors with a potential to benefit many. If you are committed to working responsibly and stay in charge of your project’s progress, we will consider assisting you.
Our major focus is public exposure but we also have other skills and opportunities, like:

* Providing spaces for creative and artistic events.
* Injecting your work in our ongoing programs to ensure meaningful exposure for your art.
* Acting as your fiscal sponsor or
* Making with you a grant aplication for your project.

To get started, please visit our Submission Forms page and tell us about yourself, your ideas, your needs, and your expectations. Be sure to highlight what makes you exceptional. We are aware that while ideas may be in the air, only few talents are capable of realizing. We empower those who turn their intentions into reality. Please, feel free to convince us that your project is bound to be a success.

Our Statement

DeepARTment is a non-profit 501(c)3, dedicated to building bridges between creators of different cultural (national) accents, who call Southern California their new home. We, ourselves, are a collective of new American immigrant artists bound together by passion for self realization. The mission of DeepARTment is "Helping underrepresented artists thrive!" DeepARTment is a young organization, our main target group currently concists of Eastern European American artists, but we are looking to expand and be friends with many others. We operate under two major programs. One is a focus on helping artists from Ukraine, Russia, Belarus, and beyond to see each other not as strangers or adversaries, but as creative collaborators. We understand that the journey from government oppression they survived at homes to a free-thinking society of Northern America can be isolating, especially when cultural barriers and war experiences come into play. The other task/challenge for our collective at DeepARTment is helping all new immigrants to better integrate their performing, visual, music and mixed media artistic talents into American creative society.

Coming March 22, 2025. FILM AGAINST WAR Festival.

The Film Against War Festival mission is to to highlight the voices and stories of those who resist oppression and advocate for freedom and fairness. We are looking for documentaries, short films, and music videos that confront the idea of dictatorship, war, and political injustice.
Submissions should align with the festival's intention to foster understanding and peace with the help of arts.
Submissions must not target specific countries or individuals in a manner that incites hate or hostility.

Your work should capture the challenges of living under oppressive regimes, the complexities of conflict, or the courageous acts of resistance and advocacy for human rights. We welcome pieces that not only depict the realities of these struggles but also inspire and mobilize audiences towards empathy and action. Join us in this cinematic dialogue to shed light on critical global issues and celebrate the power of art to provoke change.
By submitting your project you agree to grant the permission to use your materials for promotional and marketing purposes.

Art With An Accent movement

'Art With an Accent! movement is a fun activity promoting a power of being individual and a courage of honoring your own roots and grounds. Art is happening only with a special voice letting be free to speak its truth.

The other motto of the program is No Accent - No Art. Accents makes art.

The goal is to help newly joined immigrants to preserve their creative voices, feel safe and accepted with their cultural and linguistic personalities and to demolish new immigrant’s self-isolation, self-ostracization and xenophobia in the American society.

Within the 'Art With an Accent!’ movement we choose, develop and use technologies that help people of accent to embrace, accept and liberate themselves through creative artistic activities, acceptance of their own artistic traditions and speech distinctiveness. The program also targets the general American audience by raising awareness about accent being a sensitive  issue for its carriers. We aim to turn refusing to understand into interest in learning and enjoying.

'Art with an accent!’ underlines the beauty of our diversity.
